The Director of International Projects at OBREAL, Elizabeth Colucci, met with representatives of the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF), an inter-governmental foundation that supports Policy Dialogue and people-to-people action between 51 Asian and European countries.
A meeting that served both organizations to be able to understand better the nature, mission and action areas of each other and how we could potentially partner. ASEF, for example, plays an important role in the Asia-Europe Meetings (ASEM process) and it has a number of initiatives and projects that aim at fostering exchange in the youth and education sectors.
In this line of thought, we discussed current and forthcoming initiatives related to universities in the AI innovation ecosystem, the role of students in higher education policy and development, and the role that interregional dialogue can play in fostering South-South-North(s) cooperation.
We have agreed, then, to follow-up on specific project and policy dialogue related actions. In conclusion, a fruitful meeting between OBREAL and the Asia-Europe Foundation to widen our cooperation and partnership in Asia.
