The University of Buenos Aires (UBA), in collaboration with OBREAL, has launched a hybrid workshop aimed at enhancing the strategic research and management capabilities of its researchers and research institutes. This initiative focuses on developing competitive international research proposals and advancing strategic research within the framework of various EU-funded research programs.

The workshop’s launch, held at the University of Buenos Aires, saw the participation of over 70 researchers and directors from UBA’s research institutes. Following the in-person session, the workshop will continue with a series of online sessions in early October.

Specifically designed to provide insights into EU funding mechanisms, the workshop equips participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to craft competitive proposals that align with the strategic priorities of their institutions.

During the opening ceremony, Sebastián Civallero, Secretary of Science at UBA, emphasized the importance of this initiative in bringing researchers closer to international funding opportunities that promote innovative and transdisciplinary research. Similarly, Patricio Conejero, Secretary of International Relations, highlighted the joint effort with OBREAL as a valuable step in advancing the high-quality research produced by the university.

Nicolás Patrici, Director of Strategy at OBREAL, noted that UBA’s membership in OBREAL and the launch of this workshop represent a significant milestone in the long-standing collaboration between the two institutions.
