#RoadToBogota2025
WEBINARWomen, Resilience and Peacebuilding in Africa, Europe and Latin America
Preparatory event for the Third Interregional Dialogue on Education and Development between Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa and Europe.
Women are at the forefront of peacebuilding efforts across Africa, Europe, and Latin America—leading reconciliation, defending rights, and sustaining communities in times of crisis. Yet, they remain underrepresented in formal peace processes and leadership roles.
This webinar explores the transformative role of women in building inclusive and lasting peace across regions marked by conflict, inequality, and displacement. It also highlights how universities serve as critical spaces for resilience, civic engagement, and social transformation.
The event is part of the preparatory process for the Third Interregional Dialogue on Education and Development (Bogotá, 2025), and supports key global frameworks such as the 2030 Agenda (SDGs 5, 16, 17) and the UN Women, Peace and Security Agenda.
What to Expect: Key Themes and Questions
The webinar will focus on four interlinked themes:
Women’s Leadership in Peacebuilding
Resilience and Grassroots Mobilization
Intersectionality and Structural Barriers
Universities as Peacebuilders and Resilient Institutions
This exchange of ideas will also help lay the groundwork for the interregional dialogue between Africa and Latin America and the Caribbean, to be held in November 2025.
