About the EFFECTIVE INTERREGIONAL INCUBATOR FOR YOUTH
The AI Effective Interregional Incubator for Youth is a collaborative initiative by the Commonwealth Secretariat, OBREAL, and the Association of African Universities (AAU). It empowers students of universities and higher education institutions to contribute to solving global challenges while fostering sustainability, innovation, and social responsibility in higher education institutions.
In the framework of an open competition, a number of students will receive mentoring, a small amount of seed funding and support for the obtention of additional funds, In order to implement innovative international projects that involve, in an interregional perspective, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Innovation, Higher Education and Multilingualism.
The initiative is multiannual, and its promoters invite other institutions to join it and enlarge its scope and outreach.
First call (2024): African Students
The initial phase of the program invited African students to integrate the initiative’s four core features (Artificial Intelligence (AI), Innovation, Higher Education and Multilingualism). The selected projects highlight diverse applications of AI, addressing pressing challenges with innovative solutions.
