We are thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of the Vita Global project with its final event, which took place from 8 to 10 November 2022 in the beautiful city of Tarragona, hosted in the prestigious headquarters of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV), a new member of OBREAL Global. The event brought together enthusiastic partners who engaged in insightful discussions, resulting in significant outcomes for the academic and industrial sectors.
During the event, prominent partners from different institutions gathered to discuss and celebrate the achievements of the Vita Global project. Among the key highlights was the launch of the White Paper on “Modularisation and Flexibilisation of Curricula”, a ground-breaking study that explores innovative approaches to improving curricular structures and promoting greater flexibility in academia.
Another important topic discussed at the event was the impact of the Vita Global project on industry. Partners explored the critical role of collaboration between academia and industry in modernising teaching and learning methods to meet the dynamic needs of the labour market and society.
Eva Valle, a distinguished representative of the European Commission’s Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), graced the event with her presence and emphasised the importance of international cooperation in shaping the future of education and industry.
The presentation of the results was led by Joan Miquel Canals (URV) and Elizabeth Colucci (OBREAL Global), highlighting the exceptional contributions of the Vita Global network.
As part of the event’s engaging agenda, participants had the opportunity to view various audiovisual materials produced by the modules created during the Erasmus+ project. This showcased the creativity and innovation fostered by the Vita Global initiative and left a lasting impression on the participants.
The closing event was not only an opportunity for the partners to celebrate their achievements, but also to engage with a wider audience. Two public events were streamed live on the OBREAL Global YouTube channel, allowing people from all over the world to join the discourse and benefit from the valuable insights shared during the Vita Global project.
The first public event, entitled “Modularisation, Flexibilisation and Internationalisation of Curricula, Teaching and Learning: The Contribution of Vita Global”, brought together academic leaders and industry partners for a high-level discussion. The event focused on examining trends and overcoming obstacles related to curricular flexibility and internationalisation, ensuring that universities adapt their teaching approaches to the evolving needs of the labour market and society.
The second public event, entitled “Current and Future Skills Needs in the Wine Sector: University-Industry Collaboration”, focused on the industry partners of the Vita Global network. The event provided a platform to present and discuss the qualification needs of the wine sector and the key role of university/industry partnerships in driving local and regional development.
OBREAL Global is proud to have facilitated these important discussions, fostering valuable connections and inspiring transformative change in academia and industry. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the partners, participants and contributors who have made the Vita Global project a resounding success. We look forward to continuing our journey together to advance education and collaboration on a national and international scale.
