Presentation of the strategic document “A Map of Interregional Knowledge”
Obreal has presented “A Map of Interregional Knowledge,” a strategic document that accompanied the Third Interregional Dialogue on Education and Development, held in Bogotá from November 3 to 7, 2025.
The document summarizes the evolution of the interregional process promoted by Obreal since 2020 and reaffirms the importance of a polycentric approach that connects Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe, and other regions in a balanced and inclusive cooperation space. It emphasizes horizontal collaboration, based on mutual learning, shared responsibility, and the recognition of linguistic and cultural diversity as central elements of global governance.
A Map of Interregional Knowledge also reviews the journey from the initial consultations held in Barcelona to the consolidation of the process in Bogotá, highlighting the fundamental role of universities and their associations in building public value and defining long-term cooperation agendas.
Finally, the document projects the future of the Interregional Dialogue, calling for an expansion of its geographic and political scope and for strengthening initiatives that promote inclusion, academic mobility, and scientific innovation as drivers of sustainable and shared development.
