OBREAL will contribute to two of the QS Higher Education Summits: the QS Africa Summit and the QS Americas Summit. These summits, organized by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), are “thought leadership conferences around the world to connect with industry experts, build partnerships and discuss the latest challenges, opportunities and trends in higher education.”
A unique opportunity to share strategies, doubts and opinions on the role that higher education should play in the future. OBREAL will be present at both Summits to contribute ideas and listen to proposals to help generate an inter-regional political dialogue on the important issues to be addressed at the two Summits.
The QS Africa Summit seeks to empower youth through education to ensure sustainable development on the continent
The aim of the QS Africa Summit is to empower African youth to seize the opportunities presented by the continent while addressing challenges such as economic inequalities and the rapidly changing world of work. QS asserts that these opportunities can only be seized and challenges addressed if education is at the center.
To this end, QS will bring together stakeholders from across the education spectrum in Accra, Ghana, on September 9 and 10. The goal of the event is to catalyze meaningful discussions and inspire actionable strategies.
Among these stakeholders is OBREAL, which has been invited to participate in this QS Africa Summit by Marina Larrea, Senior Coordinator Higher Education Policy at OBREAL. Specifically, Marina Larrea will moderate the round table on “Interregional dialogue in higher education to enhance the role of universities as agents of innovation, integration and sustainable development”.
The QS Summit in the Americas seeks to empower higher education as an agent of change in the face of environmental, social and political challenges
The QS Summit in the Americas will bring together leaders from around the world to reflect on the opportunities and challenges facing students. Among the challenges are mental health, pedagogical innovation and environmental sustainability. But the summit also aims to delve into how education can adapt and thrive in an era of rapid change.
On October 3 and 4, Mexico will host this summit that “will serve as a catalyst to share, analyze and question the trends that will shape a sustainable future for higher education institutions”. A summit in which OBREAL’s Director of Strategy, Nicolás Patrici, will participate as a panelist.
