Obreal conducts an institutional visit to North-West University in South Africa

Obreal visited North-West University (NWU) on 24 March 2025, as part of its academic and scientific cooperation activities with higher education institutions in Africa. The visit provided an opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the South African university’s strategic priorities in innovation, research and engagement with the productive sector.

During the meeting, opportunities for collaboration aimed at building shared innovation ecosystems between Europe and South Africa were explored. Discussions focused in particular on university–industry interaction, technological innovation and the promotion of applied research as key pillars for developing sustainable partnerships.

This link with an additional South African university helps to broaden cooperation frameworks between Catalan and African institutions, supporting the exchange of knowledge and experience. Through initiatives of this kind, Obreal contributes to strengthening international engagement and the global positioning of the Catalan knowledge system.
