The Interregional Dialogue on Education and Development in Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa, co-organised by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Argentina and OBREAL Global, with the support of the African Union, will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from 28 to 31 March.
This meeting – which will take place at the Sarmiento Palace, headquarters of the Argentine Ministry, and at the National Universities of Hurlingham (UNAHUR), Northwest of the Province of Buenos Aires (UNNOBA) and San Martin (UNSAM) – aims to promote continuity in the exchange between regions in order to learn about practices and experiences on issues of common interest: climate change, energy, joint research and open science, vocational training and education for work.
This inter-regional dialogue gives continuity to the commitments made during the III Education Ministerial Meeting of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) that took place in May 2022 and in which the participants committed themselves to configure “a regional space for higher education as an instance of academic integration and solidarity-based cooperation that facilitates dialogue and synergies with extra-regional partners – with special emphasis on South-South cooperation – in close collaboration with the Latin American and Caribbean Higher Education Area (ENLACES)”.
