The Vita Global project, an Erasmus+ Capacity Building Project which concluded in November 2022, has consolidated a diverse international network of higher education institutions (HEIs) with a common interest to contribute to local development and a shared commitment to viniviticulture and oenology as a basis for academic cooperation and industry partnerships.

The project created a unique consortium of universities from South America, Georgia, Europe and South Africa. Researchers and academic staff collectively developed six thematic modules that span current and pressing themes and topics in the sector, of high relevance to economic and local development and sustainability. The project also explored flexibilization of curricula and internationalizing and modernizing study programmes for local impact.

This event will share the major and relevant outputs and introduce an important spin-off product that will nuture the network and other important collaborations in the sector – An app for researcher connections related to themes of the Vita Global modules
