HERESA (Higher Education Reform Experts – South Africa) project launches the series HERESA Café

The HERESA (Higher Educaiton Reform Experts – Sotuh Africa) project has decided to organise a series of pop-up conversations in which HERESA pedagogic experts/practitioners will share their knowledge and experiences on different themes in higher education. More specifically, a series of easily accessible and authentic informal conversations/workshops (Dialogue Inspired Learning) for academics will be facilitated using a virtual café platform. These conversations will form part of an ongoing series called HERESA CAFÉ

These conversations are open to all academics leaders and practitioners from South African and European institutions that belong to the HERESA project.

The first conversation will be organised around the theme of Flipped classrooms with a short introduction to the topic by experts from Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK, Finland). We will discuss questions such as “Is my teaching subject suitable for Flipping?” “Am I ready as a teacher /as an institution to start Flipping?” “Do my students/teachers have readiness for Flipping?” “What can we do to prepare students for Flipping?” This conversation will take place on 5th October at 10h00 South African Standard Time (for 1 hour).
