About this series

From April to October 2023, Obreal organized the webinar series Women, Innovation and Science: Challenges and Opportunities from a Multi-Regional Perspective, with the support of the EU-LAC Foundation and the Colombian Association of Universities (ASCUN).

The series brought together participants from Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe, Africa, and India, with a strong emphasis on the participation of women from academia, government, and the private sector. Its goal was to foster dialogue, assessing challenges and identifying opportunities for innovation and research driven by universities, while highlighting women’s leadership, contributions, and empowerment in these processes.

Throughout the virtual sessions, participants shared common challenges, success stories, and solutions, creating a space for exchange across regions.
