Course Description

The course “Training and Capacity Building in Climate Change, Tourism, and Circular Economy” responds to the urgent need to strengthen human capital in the tourism sector in the face of the challenges of climate change. Through a multidisciplinary, flexible, and practice-oriented approach, this continuing education program provides knowledge, skills, and applied tools for climate action and sustainability in tourism.

Aimed at professionals, technicians, policymakers, and actors in the tourism sector, this course fosters collaborative action, regional contextualization, and the transfer of knowledge from research to practice.

The course aims to train tourism sector personnel in the integration of climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies, promoting the circular economy as a key model for sustainable tourism. It also seeks to strengthen the capacity for analysis and formulation of climate and tourism public policies, as well as to foster innovation and the adoption of good practices in tourism and climate change.
