OBREAL, together with partners from Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe, is preparing a series of online seminars for postgraduate students, professionals and higher education institutional leadership from Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean. The online seminars will have a training component and will target the following topics: food security, climate change, teacher training, and higher education institutional engagement and SDGs.
We call on academics and experts who wish to participate in the preparation of these seminars to express their interest in contributing and engaging actively in the process of strengthening interregional academic and scientific cooperation.

These online seminars fall within the framework of the 2nd Interregional Dialogue on Education and Development in Latin America, the Caribbean, and Africa. Shared solutions for common challenges in the context of the African Year of Education 2024.
This dialogue will be held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia,from July 22 to July 25. Its goal is to find common solutions to pressing challenges such as food security and health, climate change and risk mitigation, joint research and open access, university engagement, and technical and vocational education, training, and skills.
The meeting is organized by the African Union Commission, the Brazilian Ministry of Education and Federal Agency for Support and Evaluation (CAPES), the Association of African Universities and OBREAL, and it will be held at the African Union headquarters.
