Presentant iniciatives estratègiques a socis globals al Fòrum S-DHG
Obreal gladly presented its strategic initiatives to the Cooperation for Sustainable Development in Higher Education Group (S-DHG) Forum, held at OeAD – Agency for Education and Internationalisation in Vienna. The event brought together leading agencies, international organisations and associations committed to supporting and funding higher education through international cooperation.
This year’s edition focused on strengthening the narrative around the socio-economic relevance of cooperation, particularly in a context of budgetary pressure and geopolitical uncertainty. Discussions highlighted the need for a strong, evidence-based narrative capable of demonstrating the mutual benefits and long-term socio-economic value of cooperation within the different Souths.
Obreal shared two strategic initiatives on international cooperation at the S-DHG Forum: the Interregional Dialogue on Education and Development and the IMPACT HE project.

Nicolas Patrici, Obreal’s Director of Strategy, was invited to share the main insights from the recently held Third Interregional Dialogue on Education and Development. This event offers valuable context for the organizations affiliated to the S-DHG as it reinforces a shared conviction across the group: international partnerships are essential to addressing global challenges collaboratively and equitably.
And that’s precisely the goal that Obreal seeks with the promotion of the Interregional Dialogue series. Only this year more than 400 participants from over 70 countries gathered in Bogotá to exchange views on common challenges and the various ways to address them.
IMPACT HE, un “projecte pilot” del S-DHG
La Directora de Projectes i Política Educativa d’Obreal, Elizabeth Colucci, va presentar la iniciativa IMPACT HE, un projecte de quatre anys coordinat per Obreal i concebut com a projecte pilot dins del grup S-DHG.
IMPACT HE és un projecte estructural Erasmus+ que reuneix ministeris, universitats i agències de Kenya, Etiòpia i Europa per enfortir conjuntament les capacitats de gestió i avaluació de la cooperació internacional en l’educació superior.
Its overarching objective, to enable African universities to act as effective local development agents and to collaborate with European partners in pursuit of shared sustainable development goals, aligns directly with the strategic ambitions of the S-DHG network, making it a valuable case study for reinforcing impact-driven cooperation.
