ROAD TO ADDIS

The biggest event of this Interregional Dialogue is the meeting that we will hold in the AAU headquarters on July 22-25, but before that, there are several activities that OBREAL has organized together with different actors from different regions.

Courses

We have designed and developed three interregional courses on topics of great international importance. All courses are designed from the interregional perspective that is unique to OBREAL. A perspective that has also become evident in the participants. More than 1,500 people from more than 60 countries have registered for the first two courses. A number that shows the importance and the relevance of creating interregional connections and perspectives to face common challenges.

Stronger Interregional Presence

Since we believe in South-South-North cooperation, we have strengthened our presence in the south with the opening of a new office for South America. OBREAL’s new office promotes dialogue and cooperation from South America to other regions in the South and in the North.

About the previous events

The next interregional dialogue on education and development to be held in Addis Ababa is the promised follow-up to previous events that set the tone for an interregional political and policy dialogue on education and development.

The Barcelona, Buenos Aires and Windhoek events gathered representatives from the African Union and CELAC member states, and representatives of continental, regional and national university associations to initiate a debate on the role of universities and university systems in sustainable development and regional and continental integration, and establish a roadmap for action.
