FOURTH Interregional Dialogue
The Interregional Dialogue on Education and Development will hold its fourth edition in Cairo, Egypt, returning to the African continent following its previous edition in Bogotá. On this occasion, the Arab region joins Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa, and Europe, further expanding the political and strategic scope of the interregional process.
In its fourth edition, the Dialogue takes a decisive step forward within this long-term interregional process, contributing concretely to strengthening multilateralism in a rapidly evolving international context.
This high-level interregional cooperation process brings together governments, university associations, higher education institutions, and regional organizations to strengthen collaboration across regions in education, science, and innovation.
The Cairo edition aligns with Egypt’s National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research 2030 and the National Policy for Sustainable Innovation 2030 (NSIP), both aimed at consolidating a sustainable and innovative knowledge society.
The fourth edition is organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Egypt, the African Union, the Arab Association of Universities (AARU), and the Association of African Universities (AAU), in collaboration with Obreal.
